Peanut dipping sauce - a Tasty Thursday edition

Sunday is the Super Bowl, which for many people involves a lot of watching of advertisements, watching some football (and more advertisements), and eating a whole lot of snack food.

Dips. Dips are snack food, right? Dip veggies. Dip crackers. Dip chips. Dip chicken.

Dip it all right into this totally different, really delicious, super easy peanut dip.

Peanut dipping sauce for the win!

  • And if you want to make this into a pasta sauce, or a fabulous sauce to paint on grilled whatever? Thin it with water. Or stock. Or bourbon. Or rum.

Whatever you do, make sure you've got enough to just eat it with a spoon.

PEANUT DIPPING SAUCE

1 TBS vegetable oil (could use coconut oil)
2 cloves garlic
1/4 c peanut butter (can sub sun-butter!)
1/4 c hoisin sauce
2 TBS tomato paste
1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
1 tsp+ chili garlic paste

1. Heat oil and garlic until sizzling.
2. Over low heat, stir in peanut butter, hoisin sauce, tomato paste, pepper flakes, and chili garlic paste.
3. Whisk in water, a few tablespoons at a time, to the desired consistency. You may have to do this a few times until it looks good!
